US Open coverage rights to move from USA to ESPN
Coverage of cable television in the United States of the tournament open tennis is coming out of the U.S. network after 25 years is moving to ESPN and Tennis Channel beginning in 2009.
The breakdown of six years to 2014 with the tennis association of United States should be formally announced Monday.
The U.S., which began airing the event American Grand Slam in 1984, will take a while last in 2008.
Starting next year, ESPN2 will be the bearer of the cable lead to open the tournament in the United States and the United States opened the series, the circuit of tournaments for the hard-court tournament leading to the principal.
The broadcast right of the network are still carried out by CBS, which has a contract with the USTA until 2011.
